They dedicated a couple of shows to them, but unlike how they did with the front half of the plane, they didn’t give us background on each of the main characters. They did this in the first season with the main characters from the front half of the plane by showing us flash backs of that person’s life and how they come to be on
Sometime last month I saw a documentary on George Clinton and the Parliament. It talked about how P-Funk has influenced music of today especially Hip-hop. I must say that until I saw this documentary I never really appreciated the genius of George Clinton. Yes that’s right I said genius. Here was man that for all intensive purposes looked like a complete and total fool with his on stage antics. But he created a following musically and performance wise that is still strong today.
Here’s the situation, you are the only one in your immediate family to attend college and graduate. You have a good paying corporate job with nice benefits. You are paying your bills on time, and you are trying to build up that safety net savings of 3 months worth of your monthly salary. Then bam, your sister calls, her lights are about to get cut off and she needs you to loan her the money. This is the third time in as little as 4 months that she called with one financial crisis or another. You know that if you say no then you get the barrage of calls from you other sibling or your mother imploring you to help your family out because that is what families do. Maybe you in this situation, you may not have gone to college but you do have a pretty good job that you have worked your way up to some decent pay. You are quietly paying your bills when like clock work your auntie calls and tells you she is about to loose her house for the 3rd time in 2 years. She is 3 months behind in her payments and she needs you to help her out. She needs $1500 dollars. She promises she will pay you back but you know deep down inside that if you give her this money you will never see it again.
