My Thoughts

I did something today I have never done before in front of others. I prayed. My friend and co-worker came to me today and asked that I pray for his father who is having surgery today. So he, a couple of other co-workers and myself went into one of the conference rooms, joined hands and I led a prayer. I prayed for his fathers healing. I prayed for the doctor to have steady hands as he performs his job. I prayed for strength for the family to persevere through this difficult time. I prayed for strength for my friend. I stumbled a bit but I managed to get my words together for God, Jesus, my friend and our co-workers to hear. Now don’t get me wrong praying is not new to me, I pray all the time, but never have I prayed in front of others out loud. I have enfact prayed with others. We would join hands, bow our heads and someone would began to speak, I would nod in agreement or pray my prayer silently. (more…)
