Thrill seekers, why?

Maybe it’s me but I don’t get some folks, especially white folks and some definitely confused black folks, need for thrills and adventure.
Lately I’ve been watching “I Shouldn’t be Alive” and Dirty Jobs on the discovery channel. Let’s take the show “I Shouldn’t be Alive”. Now in some of the stories the folks got caught in situations that were beyond their control and I felt for them, shit happens, but in some of the stories the folks were in just plain ole stupid and avoidable situations. Situations, that if they had followed a rule or two, or used better judgment, things would have been a whole lot different. Lives might not have been lost and they in turn wouldn’t be on the show telling their tale, but their need for adventure, their need to test their physicality and well as others makes them ignore all the risks.
