With the opening of the movie ATL staring the Rapper T.I. and co starring the rapper Big BOI of Outkast
, the likes of which I will not be going to see, I am wondering are there no young black actors left who don’t rap or sing? I mean what happened to Morris Chestnut, Mekhi Phifer, and Omar Epps? Can they not get any good acting gigs for the Fifty Cents, and LL Cool J’s? Not to knock these guys acting abilities, although I didn’t nor do I want to see ‘Get Rich or Die Trying’, but come on what about the guys who study acting and are trained as actors, why can’t they get a break?
When will Hollywood learn that just because someone can sing and look good in music video does not equate to them being able to carryout a role on the big screen in a movie. Case in point, Beyonce cannot act. She was terrible in Carmen
, even worse in Fighting Temptation, and I dread to see what she will be like in Dreamgirls. 
No I am not a Beyonce hater, as a matter of fact, I am a fan, I absolutely loved the CD Dangerously in Love. The girl can sing but she damn shole can’t act for that matter, neither can Whitney Houston, I think she stunk in Waiting to Exhale. Although, there was no plot to Poetic Justice, Janet Jackson, was a long way away from her acting days of Penny and Charlene (yeah I’m old) where all she really had to do was be cute. Miss Jackson was even worse in the Nutty Professor II. Those roles would have been better played by the likes of Nia Long, Vanessa Williams, or Angela Bassett. These are actresses with skills. So Hollywood can we move away from the rappers and singers and get back to real actors and actresses please?
Ok so I’m in Sam’s club the other day waiting in line at the pharmacy. I was about the fourth person in line and the line wasn’t moving particularly fast. Located next to the pharmacy is place where you buy the bulk cigarettes. On this particular evening an Asian lady and her three kids where there buying cigarettes, well the lady was her kids were running an playing not being paid much attention to by their mom. The kids were comprised of two girls, one may have been about 8 or 9 year old and one may have been about 5 or 6, and a little boy who appeared to be about 3 or 4. Well the little boy appeared to have to go to the bathroom, he was holding himself and doing the bathroom dance. The older girl was playing with the automatic blood pressure checker, and younger one was trying to get her turn on the thing. The boy whispered to his sister that he had to go and the middle girl and he sprinted off at break neck speed. The mom finally looked up and was confused as the where two of her kids were. I pointed in the direction that they went. She looked relieved and said something in her language to older girl who then took off in the same direction as the other two kids. About two minutes later, the older girl came running by then about a minute of so later her comes the younger girl. So after about another minute or so I hear the sounds of the shocked women followed by some laughter, and sounds of little bare feet running on bare Sam’s floor. I looked up and what did see, a little naked Asian butt running. The little boy ran out of bathroom with his clothes under his arm to his mom for her assistance in getting his under wear and clothes on. I was too tickled.
