End of an ERA

Saturday, July 19, 2008 marked the end of an era, the series finale of Nickelodeon’s The Avatar- the Last Airbender aired.

No more will we follow the little bald headed monk with the blue arrows on his quest to bring the four nations (Wind, Earth, Water, Fire) of the world together. This cartoon was masterfully written to a point where elementary school kids and adults could enjoy the cartoon equally.

So goodbye Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Zuko, MoMo and Appa I will miss you.

  1. I loved watching this show and seeing the characters grow and expand their bending knowledge. This was one of the better shows on Nick… now I’m stuck watching SpongeBob and Fairy Odd Parents with my kid. *sigh*
